Mindful Museum: Seasonal Restorative Art-Making Circles (Summer)
Overview
Join artist and creative facilitator Noni Shaikh and cello player Adi for a restorative evening of music, mindfulness, and creative exploration.
This summer session invites participants to slow down, engage their senses, and reconnect with their innate creativity through a series of guided art-making experiences. Beginning with gentle breathwork and sensory awareness practices, we explore how music can influence movement, rhythm, line, and artistic expression.
Through accessible drawing and mark-making exercises, we experiment with translating sound into visual form, discovering how different tempos, textures, and moods can shape the creative process.
The evening culminates in a live cello performance by Adi, which offers participants an opportunity to create an intuitive artwork inspired by the music as it unfolds.
No artistic experience is necessary. This program emphasizes process over outcome and invites curiosity, presence, and creative exploration in a supportive environment.
Ages 16 and up. All materials provided.
