In the Moment: Cultural Activities for the Memory Community
Overview
Step into a peaceful exploration of the wild with the North Carolina Zoo, where the familiar calls of birds and insects serve as a bridge to shared experiences.
In the Moment: Cultural Activities for the Memory Community is a new program series designed for those living with memory changes and their care partners that inspires collective engagement with a wide breadth of topics, ranging from the arts to the diversity of life on earth.
On the second Friday of each month, participants are given the opportunity to take part in meaningful interactions, express their unique perspectives, and broaden their horizons, all while learning from a variety of cultural institutions based in NC.
While always hosted at the NCMA, In the Moment is coordinated and supported by multiple organizations within the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR), including the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, the North Carolina Museum of History, and the North Carolina Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
In the Moment programs for July–October are themed “the sounds of NC.”
