Author Event: The Art of Hospitality with Molly Irani, cofounder of Chai Pani

We’re thrilled to welcome Molly Irani, cofounder and chief hospitality officer of the James Beard Award–winning Chai Pani Restaurant Group in Asheville, NC, for a very special evening of conversation, food, and hospitality.

Join us for a conversation and Q&A with Irani moderated by Ayn-Monique Klahre, editor of WALTER magazine, authentic Indian small plates, and drinks. It’s a chance to hear Irani’s story, ask questions, share a meal, and experience a little of the warmth and hospitality that have made Chai Pani so special.

Alongside her husband, Meherwan, Irani has helped build Chai Pani into a celebrated restaurant group and spice company, creating a culture centered around community, thoughtful leadership, and what they call “mind blasting” hospitality. Their restaurants now include Botiwalla at Raleigh Iron Works, a lively homage to the bold flavors and spirit of Indian street food.

Irani is the author of Service Ready: A Story of Love, Restaurants, and the Power of Hospitality, a wonderful reflection on the people, passion, and purpose behind great hospitality. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
