Andrew Willis and the Vivaldi Project: Mother’s Day at the NCMA

2:00 PM

Overview

Chamber Music Raleigh’s popular Sights & Sounds on Sundays series brings some of today’s most compelling musicians to the North Carolina Museum of Art’s intimate and acoustically exceptional SECU Auditorium. Each concert offers a close-up, thoughtfully curated experience where excellent artists, distinctive programs, and the energy of live performance come together.

About the artists
Pianist and fortepianist Andrew Willis joins the Vivaldi Project for a historically informed exploration of baroque and classical repertoire, combining expressive performance with deep musical scholarship. Praised by The New York Times for playing “of rare stature,” Willis is an acclaimed specialist in historical keyboards, while the Vivaldi Project is celebrated for its brilliant period-instrument performances and critically admired Discovering the Classical String Trio recording series. Together, these distinguished artists invite audiences to experience familiar and rarely heard music through the instruments, techniques, and vivid sound world of its own time.
