Part 1: Museum Park, Sunflower Field; Part 2: Zoom
While our sunflower field is in bloom, join professional photographer, artist, and educator Barbara Tyroler on an inspirational journey of creative expression through photography and nature. During Part 1, after a brief introduction, you will spend “golden hour” among the flowers practicing with guidance from Tyroler. Participants will learn about technical decisions, experiment with design elements, and reflect on the underlying emotional forces that may influence choices for image capture. All skill levels and cameras are appropriate, including smartphones. For ages 16 and up; space is limited.
Part 2 will take place virtually over Zoom on Tuesday, July 27, 6:30 pm, and will be an informal critique with constructive group discussion of practice images submitted in advance. In the event of poor weather, Part 1 will also take place over Zoom. Both parts end at 8:30 pm.
The North Carolina Museum of Art and Dorothea Dix Park have partnered to make Raleigh the City of Sunflowers in 2021.
