Join us and Arts Access for a virtual journey inspired by art. For this Art in Bloom edition, we will be exploring North Carolina flowers and their appearance in art. This event is intended for adults who are blind, low vision, or have a learning need that would benefit from a sensory-style experience. Registration includes a small kit of sensory objects to awaken the senses and help connect deeper to the artwork. Audio description and captioning will be provided. For ages 16 and up. Space is limited.
When you register a sensory kit will be sent to the address you provide. You must register by May 20 to receive your kit. After registering a link to join the webinar will be provided in your confirmation email.
For questions regarding the content of this program, email felicia.ingram@ncdcr.gov.
We rely on your support and generosity during Art in Bloom, the Museum’s annual fund raiser. Proceeds support general operations, including virtual and live programs, throughout the year. If you are attending a free event, please consider making a donation.
The popular, annual Art in Bloom will take place during not one but two extended weekends in 2021: Thursday–Sunday, June 3–6, and Thursday–Sunday, June 10–13. A perennial favorite among visitors, Art in Bloom displays the stunning creativity of floral designers who interpret works of art in the Museum collection. The event was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic.
