Join us as Lakota John performs virtually from the North Carolina Museum of Art! Lakota John is a musician, producer, and songwriter from southeastern North Carolina who has toured nationally and internationally. Influenced by his father’s music collection, he picked up the guitar at the age of seven. Lakota John blends elements of folk, jazz, rock, and blues to create his unique sound while continuing to learn alongside mentors.
While the Museum is now open, Museum from Home programming continues, including the new NCMA Virtual Exhibitions Subscription and ongoing virtual events. Through the NCMA Recommends virtual offerings below, inspired by the Museum collection, we hope to foster contemplation, meditation, and creativity.
