In light of Governor Cooper’s state of emergency declaration and recommendations regarding large gatherings, this event has been postponed.
How do we adapt to different light conditions, particularly when photographing darker skin? This workshop is an opportunity to study with internationally renowned photographer Alun Be, as participants learn to manipulate light in order to create truthful representations of their subjects.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Senegal's independence on April 4, admission to the exhibition is free to anyone wearing the colors of Senegal's flag (red, green, and yellow). Spend the morning viewing Good as Gold, and stay for the workshop with an outstanding international artist.
This spring at the NCMA, go around the globe with five exhibitions: one ticket gives you access to North Carolina painters, the beauty of Senegalese jewelry, site-specific indoor and outdoor installations by New York artist Leonardo Drew, and works by Thai artist Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook.
