East Building, Studio 1
Join the NCMA’s Mellon scholar in residence, Helena Feder, to explore ekphrasis, the way in which visual art is translated into written language. Participants read examples of ekphrasis and then write their own (as poetry, flash fiction, or flash creative nonfiction) in response to a work of art in the Museum. Class size is limited to 10; ages 18 and up. Ends at 12:30 pm.
The theme addressed in this class is balance.
