Museum Park Theater
Start the night in a magical rainforest filled with strange fruit and improbable creatures. Featuring digitally animated projections by Austrian artist collaborative OMAi with visual artist Robin Vuchnich, this event (free ticket required) brings to life the magic of the forest. Later, take a science fiction–themed trip to remote corners of the universe with more projections by visual artists Ria Aubry Taylor and Carmen Neely. Plus, join in the fun with free first-come, first-served digital painting sessions with OMAi’s Tagtool app at provided iPad stations. What you create will be incorporated into the main animated projections!
Fun for all ages with forest and space-themed art making, The Poetry Fox in space, performances by Cirque de Vol, sky viewing with Morehead Planetarium, creature encounters with Piedmont Wildlife Center, and more. Music by DJs Gemynii and SPCLGST. Food trucks and beverage tent open throughout.
