The North Carolina Museum of Art travel program is designed to offer exclusive, art-focused trips to interesting locales within the region and relevant national and international art destinations. NCMA-sponsored trips connect Museum members with like-minded friends and meaningful art and cultural experiences that are carefully curated for the group.
The NCMA’s long-time connections with artists, collectors, curators, and museum professionals throughout the world allow access to special collections and viewing opportunities that are not available to the general public. Future trip destinations include Cuba, Berlin, Venice, Toronto, New York, Mexico City, Los Angeles, and more.
The NCMA is also part of the Museum Travel Alliance, a consortium of museums whose members share a passion for cultural travel. NCMA members have the opportunity to join the Alliance’s selection of travel programs, all led by world-renowned curators and scholars. Whether sailing to the Aegean islands with an expert in Greek archaeology, or touring a private château with a French art historian, each itinerary is designed to awaken new insights into art, culture, and natural beauty.
You can also explore the current selection of exciting land programs, river and sea cruises, and rail journeys on the Museum Travel Alliance website.
