The North Carolina Museum of Art

Summer Concerts

Arts in the Museum Park is an annual summerlong festival of music and film that features critically acclaimed performing artists from around the world along with the best in classic and contemporary cinema, all staged in the beautiful, sculpture-filled Museum Park. Even the amphitheater is part of a monumental work of art.

We are proud the NCMA features the largest concert venue of any art museum in the country and one of the area’s first and most popular open-air cinemas. It means the Museum is home to great artists not only in the galleries and in the Park, but on our stage as well. And as a member, you’ll enjoy discounted tickets to concerts and free admission to outdoor movies. Longtime fans love the casual intimacy of the amphitheater (and the chance to dance close to the stage)!

And it’s easy to relax and savor the evening. Parking is free, and you can either enjoy the inspired food and beverage offerings or pack your own picnic. You’ll especially appreciate the consistent excellence of the eclectic programming carefully curated by Museum staff. Delight in discovering amazing performers and revisiting beloved films under a canopy of stars.

Our 16th season offers a wonderfully diverse lineup, and there are more announcements to come.
