Stop by the Museum Park Theater to decorate a bamboo or wood walking stick; then, take your stick on a hike along the Museum Park trails or to locations participating in the Triangle Volksmarch. Sticks are available for the first 250 participants.
The annual Triangle Volksmarch, a self-paced walking challenge for all ages, begins on Museum trails and continues through Prairie Ridge Ecostation, Schenck Forest, and William B. Umstead State Park, with an afterparty at Great Outdoor Provision Co. in Cameron Village. Pick up a free map and passport at any of the event sites, and earn the Volksmarch patch.
For more information visit Triangle Volksmarch or contact Sean Higgins, (919) 707-9348.
