East Building, SECU Auditorium
Elizabeth Perrill, consulting curator for African art at the NCMA and an associate professor at UNC–Greensboro, focuses on African ceramics. Her research specialization in Zulu pottery dovetails with a curatorial goal of bringing women’s creative histories into the Museum’s reinstallation of African art. She discusses how ancient and contemporary ceramic traditions are highlighted in five spaces in the new galleries.
Registration required by 4 pm on the Tuesday before the event.
