Lunch and Lecture: An Introduction to Estampas de la raza

Exhibition curator Jennifer Dasal presents the 61 works in Estampas de la raza by theme, highlighting such topics as the melding of Mexican and American cultures; Hispanic icons Frida Kahlo, Che Guevara, and César Chávez; the struggle for equality and labor rights; the search for Mexican American identity; and the influence of Latino culture on contemporary American life and art.

These seminars begin with a lecture by curators or other experts and continue with discussions over a catered lunch. Register online or call the Museum Box Office, (919) 715-5923. Registration and payment for the combined program required by 4 pm on the Tuesday before the event.
