Tales of the Night (2011)
Directed by Michel Ocelot
In a little cinema, three storytellers meet every night to act out tales set in forests and cities of gold, populated with sorcerers, fairies, and powerful kings. This French animation, with silhouetted characters set against Day-Glo backgrounds, weaves together exotic fables that unfold in different times and places, including Medieval Europe, the West Indies, and an Aztec kingdom.
The NCMA will screen three of the six tales from this award-winning animation. (In English.)
