Fall Family Festival: Octoberfeast

Sunday, October 21 | 1 pm
Free

Join us from 1–4 pm for an afternoon of feasting that brings art, food, and community together. Take a family-friendly food tour of our permanent collection. Visit a hands-on art making workshop and make your own edible art. Meet local vendors, listen to live music; and purchase something delicious from one of the food trucks rounded up for the day.

The Richmond Indigenous Gourd Orchestra performs at 2 pm (tickets) and 3 pm (tickets) and will sign autographs and share information after each show (performances are free, but tickets from the Box Office are required).

American MeltdownKlausie’s Pizza Truck and Locopops will be on site with food for purchase.

Festival Day Special: Free admission for kids under 12 to the exhibition Still-Life Masterpieces: A Visual Feast from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Bonus: Bring a nonperishable food item to donate to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, and be entered to win a prize! Bring two items and receive a discounted ticket to Still-Life Masterpieces.

Traffic Alert! Traffic along Blue Ridge Road will be affected by the State Fair on Sunday. Please use either Lake Boone Trail or Reedy Creek Road to get to the Museum.
