Lunch and Lecture: Edvard Munch, Master PrintmakerSaturday, October 6 | 11 am
East Building | Museum Auditorium
$25 Members (per session)
$30 Nonmembers (per session)
These seminars begin with a lecture by curators or other experts, and the discussion continues over a lunch catered by Iris, the Museum Restaurant. Register at www.ncartmuseum.org/tickets or call the Museum Box Office, (919) 715-5923. Registration and payment for the combined program required by 4 pm on the Wednesday before the event.
The fame of Munch’s The Scream often overshadows his work as a printmaker. During this session, however, Deputy Director for Art John Coffey encourages an appreciation of Munch as an experimental printmaker and as one of the most celebrated and influential—yet misunderstood—artists in the modern world.
