These seminars begin with a lecture by curators or other experts, and the discussion continues over a lunch catered by Iris, the Museum Restaurant. Beverly McIver candidly recounts challenging, celebratory, and sometimes humorous experiences that define her work, on display in East Building through June 24. Her emotional, colorful paintings serve as a visual journal and chronicle her relationships as a daughter, a sister, and the guardian of a developmentally delayed sister.
