Music in the Galleries

The NCMA launches a series of occasional musical performances staged in the beautiful galleries of West Building. Rather than formal concerts requiring seating and strict attention, these performances are meant to enhance your enjoyment of the works of art as you stroll in the galleries.
The series begins with solo and ensemble performances by members of MYCO @ UNC–Chapel Hill, a preprofessional program staffed by faculty from UNC–CH, Duke, and guest artists. Performances will be held in various galleries, and music selections will relate to the time and place of the works of art. Bach, Debussy, Haydn, and Mozart are a few of the composers whose work will be performed by these top young musicians.
