What do the materials used in a work of art convey about the culture in which it was produced? Consider the work of El Anatsui and his use of repurposed materials. Create your own tactile collage using yarn, fabric, and found objects.
Even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush, now’s your chance to have fun engaging with art while taking a closer look at works in the Museum’s collection. Each session offers an informal gallery discussion paired with a studio experience exploring subjects in paintings and sculpture. Enhance your appreciation of art and try your hand at artists’ techniques and materials in a relaxed atmosphere. Supplies provided.
Register online, by calling (919) 715-5923, or in person at the Museum Box Office.
