Lunch and Lecture: Fairy Tales and Other Literature in Ancient Egypt

Friday, February 24 | 11 am
East Building | Museum Auditorium
$23 Members
$28 Nonmembers

The pyramids, temples, and treasure-filled tombs have eclipsed ancient Egypt’s more intellectual pursuits. Discover ancient Egyptian literature with Egyptologist Caroline Rocheleau as she reads and discusses fairy tales, beloved stories, poems, and didactic literature written more than 2,000 years ago.

Discussion continues over a lunch catered by Iris, the Museum Restaurant. Registration and payment for the combined program required by 4 pm on Wednesday, February 22.

Register online, by calling (919) 715-5923, or in person at the NCMA Box Office.
