How does problem-solving in the visual arts relate to problem-solving in math, social studies, science, and language arts? Join us for a two-day workshop exploring the ways artists have solved problems across the ages. Discover how to use works of art and alternative methods of assessment to help students gain problem-solving skills in any subject area. Participants will earn 1 CEU. Friday dinner and Saturday lunch provided. Registration required.
A limited number of scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis for teachers who meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Teacher’s school is in a Tier 1 county.
- Teacher’s school lacks funding to support the cost of the program.
- Teacher has not participated in any past NCMA teacher program.
* Pairs of teachers from the same school representing different subject areas (e.g. math and visual arts) who register together will receive a discounted rate of $25 per person.
For more information about the workshop, to register in tandem with a colleague at your school and receive the discounted rate, or to inquire about a scholarship, please contact Jen Coon, (919) 664-6820.
