What's in the Box: People and Portraits

Thursday, February 16 | 10:30 am
East Building | Education Studios 1 and 2
Ages 2–4
Free for Members
$3 Nonmembers

Portraits can tell us a lot about a person. Come to the Museum and explore people in art.

Preschoolers, ages 2–4, and their caregivers discover a new adventure in the box each time and experience fun and engaging ways of looking at art together in the Museum and at home. Each session introduces a work of art from the Museum through one of six themes: animals, people, places, seasons/nature, movement, and parts of art. Activities are designed to stretch the imagination while children explore materials and make personal connections with art and their world.

Tickets are required for all individuals over the age of 2. Visit the NCMA Box Office to get tickets for a half-hour educator-led session, starting at 10:30 am, 11 am, or 11:30 am. First come, first served.
