Spanning thousands of years and numerous cultures, Sacred Motherhood explores the symbolism behind the representation of a woman caring for a child. Egyptologist and exhibition curator Caroline M. Rocheleau brings context and meaning to the 13 beautiful works in this thematic permanent collection exhibition.
These seminars begin with a lecture by curators or other experts and continue with discussion over a lunch catered by Iris restaurant. Register online or call the Museum Box Office, (919) 715-5923. Registration and payment for the combined program required by 4 pm on the Tuesday before the event.
