The NCMA’s own version of Lebowski Fest celebrates the Dude, the laziest man in L.A. County, a white-Russian-swilling slacker who lives to bowl and is forced into Raymond Chandleresque action over a mistaken identity. The classic cult film embraces audience communal bliss with its endlessly quotable dialogue and absurdist action. The Dude abides.
"Hey, careful, man, there’s a beverage here!" This year, there’ll be even more white Russians, food trucks, and opportunities to join a Dudeist cult than last year. Abide.
Food trucks include:
CJ's Street Food
The Humble Pig
Not Just Icing
“The Big Lebowski is the best movie ever set mostly in a bowling alley” (Rolling Stone).
