A medical engineer on her first flight is cast adrift by a spectacular accident and must struggle to survive, and to decide she wants to, in this mind-blowing journey into the stratosphere.

“A technical and storytelling masterpiece that is buoyed by stunning visuals and which functions both as a ripping, tension-filled yarn and as a profound and life-affirming work of art” (New Orleans Times-Picayune).

Presented with Spanish subtitles in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in Raleigh. The screening salutes Mexican film director Alfonso Cuarón, who won the Academy Award for Best Director for Gravity, and celebrates the closing weekend of the NCMA exhibition Estampas de la raza/Prints for the People: The Romo Collection
