Voce Camerata and Consort present vocal and instrumental works of the Italian masters and their European and British contemporaries, with sacred and secular pieces ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous. Some of the composers represented include Maddelena Casulana, Jacob Clemens (non Papa), Jacques Arcadelt, Adriano Banchieri, Baldassare Donato, William Byrd, and Clément Janequin. Instrumental portions include a crumhorn trio, recorder consort, and lute/vocal duets.
The concert, open to the public, is part of the Museum’s two-day Italian Renaissance Seminar. Reception follows the concert.
