New York-based artist Mickalene Thomas joins Linda Dougherty, NCMA chief curator and curator of contemporary art, and Museum Director Larry Wheeler for a lively discussion. Thomas received her MFA from Yale University, and her work was featured in the NCMA’s 30 Americans exhibition in 2011. Her painting Three Graces is part of the Museum’s permanent collection. Thomas will answer questions after the discussion.
