Join NCMA Egyptologist Caroline Rocheleau as she reveals the secrets of ancient Egypt’s mysterious hieroglyphs. In addition to illustrated lectures about language and literacy, the schooling of scribes, and the magical power of words, the seminar includes a hands-on hieroglyph deciphering lesson—grammar, syntax, and all! Reading and scribal materials, morning coffee, lunch, and a reception are included.
Advance ticket is required; space is limited. Call the Museum Box Office: (919) 715-5923. For sponsoring opportunities (until January 10) or further information, please contact Caroline Rocheleau at (919) 664-6845.
