Reluctant Accomplice, Konrad H. Jarausch

“Growing up in a dead father’s shadow in postwar Germany was not easy, because a contentious teenager could not argue with a ghost.”  Facing personal struggles with his father’s work in Nazi Germany, acclaimed historian Konrad H. Jarausch offers an insightful story told through his father’s wartime correspondence. The 350 letters reveal a man pulled between his Christian beliefs and his role as a reserve officer in Hitler’s army.
