In Celebration of the NCMA’s Permanent Collection
The NCMA’s premier chamber music concert series is produced in association with the Raleigh Chamber Music Guild. The Blue Ridge Chamber Players bring flute, cello, and piano to the Museum to perform music written in this century and the last. The program is inspired by French composer Philippe Gaubert’s Three Watercolors, which was written for salon performance to encourage the enjoyment of music and art in the same setting. Another highlight is the premier of a work by contemporary composer Ronald Keith Parks of Winthrop University that pays tribute to the work of a North Carolina painter.
Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling the Museum Box Office, (919) 715-5923. Tickets may also be obtained from the Raleigh Chamber Music Guild by calling (919) 821-2030.
Docent-led tours of featured works of art are offered at 1:45 pm. For tour reservations call (919) 664-6785.
