J. Gill Holland, professor emeritus at Davidson College, joins the book club to discuss his book The Private Journals of Edvard Munch. Munch recorded vignettes of his personal history, madness, and love life in a halting, surrealistic tone that leaves readers curious about the personality behind his art. As an expert in Norwegian art and literature, Holland responds to the highly complex nature of Edvard Munch as revealed in his personal diaries.

To register call the Museum Box Office, (919) 715-5923. Registration and payment required by 4 pm on Thursday before the program.
